'Revenge porn' victim fights back: 'I was terrified'
Fri May 3, 2013
She never should have sent this when she was in a several year long relationship? this wasn't some fling. It used to be poleroids (I found some of my parents once, that was a scaring memory!). It is very clear that she gave these to him for private use, not so that he could do …
As home births rise, pediatricians group sets new guidelines
Sun Apr 28, 2013
But Lee is not wrong in that the increase in home births is largely due to educated, white (non-hispanic) woman in the middle and upper-class income brackets making the choice.
'Terrible mistake': Minnesota hospital sends stillborn baby to laundry service
Wed Apr 17, 2013
The story said the laundry was taken out of the morgue so the baby was already there awaiting a funeral of some sort I would imagine. The body was probably taken the same day or day before that it was found at the laundry place. the family probably wasn't ready for a funeral service right way.
A 'worrisome' risk: Most babies are fed solid food too soon, study finds
Mon Mar 25, 2013
@mb1234: That's interesting. My kids were 70:50 and 50:50 pretty consistently on the charts through their first year and both were 100% breast milk babies until 7 or 8 months. After that I made most of their babyfood myself. He is 100th percentile for height and 95th for weight.
Jury finds NYPD cop guilty of plotting to kidnap, cook, eat women
Tue Mar 12, 2013
How the hell did this guy pass the psych exam? And to everyone who said he didn't do anything, he abused his position as a police officer by accessing private data for private use. They'll get him on that alone.

Tue Jan 29, 2013
@ Olddog47 How much more controlled than on a leash in the back of a truck would you desire Your Majesty? Um, you did realize there were two dogs involved, right? One was not controlled. Check the attitude, dude.
Church youth leader accused of sex with teen
Wed Jan 23, 2013
When I was a youth of 17 (15 or so years ago) we got a new youth coordinator at my church. He was 20 or 21 and in college for youth ministries and was the nephew of the woman who ran the "education program" (Sunday school, confirmation classes and the youth program).
Army spouses club offers 'special guest membership' for same-sex wife
Fri Jan 18, 2013
This makes me wonder about opposite sex "baby mama's" or "baby daddy's" of people serving in the military. It seems that a military ID is needed for a lot of things (I know you need one or an escort to get on base), but they don't issue one unless you are married.
Indiana boy abducted in 1994 found in Minnesota
Fri Jan 11, 2013
Having to use the legal system for custody battles over children would be a high cost to anyone, not just grandparents. And I don't know that granting more leeway or rights to grandparents is such a great idea because I've also read stories where wealthy grandparents have railroaded over a daughter- …

Nothing too popular! I want my child's name to be unique.
Beyond the breast-feeding wars: a secret supplementer speaks out
I gave breast milk exclusively
Truly, to each there own. Who am I to judge? Both my kids were exclusively breastfed (while I worked full-time, out side of the home, 40 to 60 hr/week). I was very fortunate with my first to have a ton of milk, I had to pump between feedings even before I went back to work because I would get so unc …
I forgot to add that I was also very fortunate to work at a place that provides a very nice place for me to pump and store my milk so that wasn't what I hated about pumping...I grew to actually hate the act of it after a few months.
